Job duties

Lead the development of the organization's overall fleet strategy and contribute to both the long-term and short-term operational planning. Determine the long-term fleet needs to effectively support these plans. Conduct economic assessments for fleet selection, which includes modeling and profitability analysis, aimed at making informed long-term investment decisions to maximize financial returns. Assess various fleet configurations (size, type, mix) and provide timely recommendations to the Fleet Steering Committee. Prepare and present business cases and proposals for aircraft acquisitions to the board. Oversee and co-chair the aircraft governance process, alongside the Aircraft Trading and Engineering teams. Lead the Layout of Passenger Accommodations (LOPA) Steering Committee to determine the optimal configuration for various aircraft types, aligning with commercial and operational goals. Manage cross-functional teams to ensure fleet-related projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to plan. Analyze the commercial performance of the fleet, identify profitability enhancement opportunities, and implement necessary changes. Define new aircraft requirements based on the approved fleet plan, which includes induction planning, LOPAs, payload capacity, acquisition options, and cost analysis. Engage in commercial negotiation processes.

Scheduling

Head the scheduling teams to create an operating plan that maximizes the organization’s key assets. Adjust schedules in collaboration with the Passenger Network team to bolster competitiveness as a premium hub carrier. Ensure the feasibility of operating plans and schedules through strong partnerships with operational stakeholders. Lead the resource optimization efforts, which may involve monthly aircraft deployment, capacity rationalization, and managing charters. Strategically oversee the global slots portfolio, especially focusing on major hubs. Drive process and productivity enhancements within planning activities by leveraging digital data.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years’ experience in airline management
  • Demonstrated strong business vision and commercial acumen
  • High proficiency with data and numbers
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
