Head of Supply Chain Quality

Volantes Technical Recruitment are looking to speak with candidates for a Head of Supply Chain Quality role in Dubai.

This a once in a lifetime opportunity to join our client who are an advanced aerospace, mobility technology company focused on developing and deploying next-generation autonomous and piloted aviation solutions.

The Head of Supply Chain Quality will build and govern the clients supplier-quality and incoming-inspection system as the programme moves from development toward certified production.

Duties:

🔸 Qualify, audit and industrialise global aerospace suppliers.
🔸 Lead Supply Chain Quality Engineers and Receiving Inspectors.
🔸 Control APQP, PPAP and First Article Inspection activity.
🔸 Ensure incoming parts match approved design configuration data.
🔸 Verify Form 1s, FAA 8130-3s, CoCs, material certificates
🔸 Manage supplier non-conformances, 8Ds, CAPAs
🔸 Enforce ITAR, EAR, ECCN and other export-control restrictions.
🔸 Own quarantine, rejection and stop-work decisions.
🔸 Maintain supplier-quality data through SAP MM, EDMS

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Mandatory four-year degree (Bachelor of Science) in Industrial Engineering, Process Controls, Aerospace, or a closely matching technical discipline. An MBA or Master degree focusing on Operational Excellence or Lean Management is highly preferred. 
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of dedicated experience in supply chain quality engineering, material operations, and receiving inspection environments within complex hardware sectors (aerospace sector highly preferred). Strong operational understanding of managing international supply chains subject to ITAR, EAR, and domestic dual-use export control laws. 
• Leadership and Technical Acumen: Proven experience directly managing quality engineering teams, directing receiving inspection operations, conducting structural external audits, and resolving vendor quality crises. 
• Certifications: Formally trained or certified in AS9100/EN9100 standards, GCAA/EASA Part 21 frameworks, international trade compliance controls, ISO 19011 auditing methodology, Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC), and 8D problem-solving techniques. 
• Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-functional communication and negotiation capabilities required to align technical engineering demands with supplier operational realities.
