UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 Avionics/Electrical Aircraft

• Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, and navigation systems in aircraft.

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft in adherence to established specifications.

• Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections.

• Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.

• Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.

• Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.

• Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.

• Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent is required. 

• Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is Required.

• FAA A&P Certificate OR FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3) is Required for hire.

• Candidates With an FAA (A&P) Are required to meet a minimum of Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, and Two (2) years on the assigned MDS (Army Rotary Wing CH-47, UH-60, AH-64) is Required.

• All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.

• Candidates WITHOUT FAA A&P, Must possess or Obtain an FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3) AND meet the follow years of experience: Three (3) years Aviation maintenance experience, three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and two (2) years on the assigned (Army Rotary Wing CH-47, UH-60, AH-64) Mission Design Series (MDS) to qualify. (If willing and able to obtain an FCC License, discuss with Recruiter).

• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust. ** US Citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.

• Interim NACI approval required for deployment.

• Valid US Passport is Required for deployment to Germany.

Germany Specific:

• TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.

• Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work task.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

• Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.

• Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.

• Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
