Senior Cabin Programmes Engineer - Regional

Engineering’s ambition is to be one of the world’s highest performing, customer centric and progressive engineering teams and the role of the Senior Cabin Programmes Engineer is to coordinate all programme management related activity associated to specific cabin retrofit programmes starting from product/supplier selection through to delivery on the aircraft. They will coordinate the development of product specification, retrofit workscopes, labour-hour costings and aircraft input schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development of new industry leading cabin product designs and reconfigurations for both production and retrofit aircraft.
• Coordinate new cabin programmes to ensure all products are certified, produced and delivered on time, on budget and to specification.
• Coordinate the source selection analysis process for new cabin products ensuring full compliance to all technical and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate all the major milestone meetings and provide on-site support for aircraft modification inputs.
• Coordinate all LOPA studies and cabin reconfiguration proposals.
• Coordinate all in-house cabin designs & modifications through Cathay Pacific HKAR-21 Design Organisation to support aircraft induction and retirement activities.
• Coordinate all cabin tasks for all aircraft inductions and retirements.
• Build strong working relationships with cabin suppliers and Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs).
• Initiate and drive cabin reliability improvements for future cabin products through structured cross-functional engagement with key stakeholders and lessons learned.
• Perform evaluation, costing and project planning of new livery designs or one-off paint schemes.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering.
• Degree in Engineering / Aerospace discipline.
• Proven cabin engineering knowledge.
• Proven experience in supporting, delivering cabin projects and working with cross functional teams.
• Proven ability in supplier management and working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs).
• Membership of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) is preferred.
• Experiece in LEAN project is preferred.
• Design Organisation experience is preferred.
• Strong in communication, influencing and negotations skills.
• Drive for excellence.
• Adaptable and responsive to change with demonstrated ability to drive process improvements across the department.
