Key responsibilities:

• Experience in aircraft performance assessment and familiarity with how data is presented into Flight Manuals
• Able to develop models to assess the effect of modifications on aircraft performance
• Experience in handling, stability and control assessments with preferably experience in establishing flight test requirements and reviewing subsequent acceptability of data gathered
• Demonstrable understanding of aerodynamic loads development
• Design and certification
• Steady, unsteady and dynamic loads
• Able to develop verify and report on analytical loads tools and results
• Demonstrates a familiarity with CS25 and Def Stan 00-920 certification requirements
• Capable of holding MADG check and approval signature and performing this role for Flight Dynamics
• Ensure consistent systems engineering best practice and innovation is applied across all projects
• Ensure that all work carried out meet the project engineering budgets and timelines
• Support meetings and events both internal and external as required
• Capable of providing technical approach leadership
• Experienced in supporting technical capability development and promoting industry best practice

Qualifications/Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with energy and enthusiasm to all levels within and without the business.
• Able to lead work-packages to successfully deliver to schedule, cost and quality.
• The ability to apply your skills and knowledge across a wide and diverse range of projects.
• Ideally qualified to degree level in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics subject with relevant and sufficient experience in the field.
• Sound understanding of product safety and regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable with flexible team working – onsite and offsite.

Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to build models using tools such as Excel, Matlab, NASTRAN or Star CCM
• Understanding of how to validate and document models
