We are looking for an energetic and motivated Deputy Ground Operations Manager to reinforce our Ground Ops department. He/she has knowledge of the current ground operational regulations and the industry’s quality, contractual and safety standards. He/she shall act closely in cooperation with and as a deputy for the Nominated Person Ground Operations.
Role & responsibilities
Ground Operations
- Monitor of the contract management and performance of the stations/airports.
- Identify, select, contract and monitor services of Ground Service Providers and other providers at Airports.
- Monitor Service Level Agreements with Ground Service Providers and internal departments to ensure commercial aspects as well to ensure safety, compliance and operational aspects of the operations.
- Monitor overall performance and propose/take actions to improve ground handling services and on-time performance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationship with all clients, partners and networks.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as, gathering data, preparing reports, database management.
- Monitor regulatory and other industry changes affecting processes & procedures within the scope of Ground Operations and propose/implement changes if/where applicable.
Sustainability
- Emission monitoring, reporting and verification.
- Evaluation and implementation of the corporate sustainability policy and program.
Required profile
- Provide a university degree in Business Administration or similar line of studies and/or a proven experience on a similar position ( several years of experience with ground operations within an AOC).
- Develop ground operations standard and practices within the provision of the AOC.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and collaboration skills.
- Show a good sense of priorities.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the company.
- Accept Duty Travel.
- Show strong sense for commercial thinking and negotiation skills.
- Driven by continuous improvement, result oriented.
- Be capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Be capable to demonstrate IT/Office tools user skills at advanced level (e.g. Word, Excel, editing and compiling documents).
- Show excellent communication skills in English, ideally as well as skills in French (spoken and written).
- Be familiar with current recognized Aviation Regulations & Standards (ICAO, IATA, IOSA, EASA).
Desired or to be acquired criteria
- Relevant IATA SGHA training and/or other related trainings within scope of Ground Operations.
European work permit is mandatory.
