Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Belgrade

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing technologies, including cloud infrastructure design, application architecture and cloud security. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of our cloud-based systems and for providing technical guidance and support to other IT teams and stakeholders.

Your tasks

* Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions, leveraging best practices and industry standards

* Develop scalable and secure cloud architectures that align with business objectives and enable future growth

* Drive the migration of on-premises systems and applications to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency

* Optimize cloud resources, automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness

* Design and implement cloud infrastructure components, such as virtual networks, storage, compute instances, load balancers, and security groups

* Implement cloud-based disaster recovery and backup solutions

* Collaborate with externals and multi-service providers on projects to coordinate system provisioning, migrations, administrative tasks, troubleshooting and resolution of issues

* Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and propose relevant improvements to enhance cloud infrastructure and services

* Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, best practices, and standard operating procedures

* Administer cloud services consumptions via respective portals

Your profile

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field

* Proven experience (5+ years) as a Cloud Platform Engineer or a similar role, designing and implementing cloud solutions

* Expertise in public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or similar

* Solid understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and DNS management in cloud environments

* Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to streamline operations processes

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

* Certifications in relevant areas would be a plus
