B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer

JMC are working with a MRO company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer to join their team.

This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.

This is a Permanent Position based in Birmingham, working 7am - 7pm on a 5/5/4 shift pattern

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to carry out and certify aircraft maintenance within the limitations of their company approvals           

Other duties involve:

• Ensuring all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements are accomplished
• Using customer and company processes, order spares to meet work requirements, complete associated paperwork for unserviceable components and record all maintenance activity performed with accurate man-hour bookings
• Supporting adhoc AOG requirements
• Defect rectification on inbound aircraft
• Carrying out engineering dispatch of the aircraft as required
• Carrying out maintenance tasks allocated with minimal supervision
• Complying with all company procedures. policies, regulations and MOE

Skills and experience required:

In order to be successful in this role the B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Right to live and work in the UK -Part 66 B1 License
• Type rated on the B737/B757 (recency not required)
• Previous base maintenance experience
