Assistant Labour & Overheads Accountant

• Regular review of postings to the relevant general ledgers and preparation of journals for review and posting, particularly during month-end.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensuring that invoices/expenses are reviewed and approved in a timely manner to not impact the day-to-day operations of the business.
• Responding to audit queries that have been allocated.

Continuous Improvement:

• Develop knowledge and understanding of Swissport systems/processes to provide ongoing support.
• Observe and communicate areas with recurring inaccuracies or challenges in the context of a ‘continuous improvement’ mindset.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Working knowledge of Financial and Management Accounting Principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
• Some experience using SAP will be beneficial.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different functions and management.
• Ability to manage competing demands to tight deadlines.
• Proactive and inquisitive mindset with a desire to develop their knowledge.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to apply technical/academic knowledge to practical situations.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity/partial information.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified Accountant (AAT/CIMA Certificate or equivalent).
• Experience of working in a Management Accounts environment.
• Experience within a medium/large, multi-site business.
