Aircraft Mechanic

GKN Fokker Landing Gear located in Papendrecht, the Netherlands, as part of Fokker Technologies, is active in the field of landing gear and related systems. This includes the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing-controlled systems, but also the repair and reassembly of systems that are in use. Fokker Landing Gear is active for the F16 Fighter Aircraft, the Apache Combat helicopter, the F35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, the multifunctional NH90 helicopter and the MQ-9 Reaper.

We are looking for: MRO Mechanics

Your Mission

As a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Mechanic you are responsible for dismantling, cleaning, repairing, assembling, modifying, testing, preparing and adjusting parts and assembled aircraft components. You work on the basis of Operations -, Component Maintenance Manuals, procedures and regulations, service bulletins and instructions. As a MRO Mechanic you naturally also ensure proper recording of data, documents and logs for accountability to customers and supervisory authorities. You conduct interim and final inspections on parts and assemblies. Also you provide guidance during customer product purchases. As a MRO Mechanic you are further responsible for drafting and checking the deviation descriptions; you handle these and you decide within the authorization frameworks regarding deviations and customer complaints.

Your Luggage

• You have technical college / bachelor degree in Aviation and you have several years of experience in aviation maintenance
• You have experience with inspection / MRO work in aviation;
• You master the English language in speech and writing;
• You have excellent social / communication skills;
• Preferably a good basic knowledge of EASA Part 145, 14 CFR-Part145, AS9110 and AS9100 legislation and quality standards.
