2IC Second-in-command

Job Summary

At dnata we handle a variety of cargo, ranging from live animals through to luxury cars, ensuring it is safely and securely prepared to travel. You will be required to assist the Team Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the cargo facility, taking responsibility in the Team managers absence. You will ensure the team are organised and supported in completing their duties whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as HMRC, Border Force and the Civil Aviation Authority.

Job Requirements

- Experience of working within the cargo warehouse operation is essential

- Must hold FLT licence

- Supervisory experience ideal

- Must be self-disciplined, a team player and be able to motivate staff on shift to achieve customers KPI and SLA.

- Must be able to communicate with the team, other 2IC’s and managers to create a positive atmosphere.

- Evidence of computer skills/systems required

- Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment

- Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5-year employment/education history)       and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report.
