Test Pilot

We are looking for a highly skilled Test Pilot to support the flight evaluation, development, and validation of aircraft and aviation systems. This role involves conducting planned flight trials, assessing aircraft performance under varying operating conditions, and working closely with engineering and programme teams to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting aircraft development programmes from initial testing through to certification and operational acceptance.
Conduct developmental, production, acceptance, and post-maintenance flight tests.
Execute test plans and flight profiles in accordance with programme objectives.
Assess aircraft performance, stability, control characteristics, and system functionality.
Monitor and evaluate onboard systems during flight operations.
Record observations and provide detailed technical feedback to engineering teams.
Participate in pre-flight planning, risk assessments, and safety reviews.
Support investigation and analysis of aircraft defects and technical issues.
Contribute to aircraft certification and qualification activities.
Review flight test documentation, procedures, and technical reports.
Represent the flight test function during programme meetings and customer demonstrations.
Valid UK CAA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
Extensive flying experience on fixed-wing aircraft and/or rotary-wing aircraft.
Demonstrated experience conducting flight testing, evaluation, or experimental flying activities.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, flight dynamics, and aviation regulations.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering data.
Excellent decision-making and situational awareness skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Qualified Experimental or Test Pilot certification.
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Previous military, defence, or aerospace industry experience.
Experience supporting aircraft certification programmes.
Familiarity with CAA, EASA, and military airworthiness requirements.
Methodical and safety-conscious approach.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
