Compliance & Safety Manager – Romania

We are currently supporting an established aviation organisation in Romania with the recruitment of an experienced Compliance & Safety Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s compliance monitoring activities, Safety Management System and regulatory compliance, working closely with both internal teams and aviation authorities.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the Compliance Monitoring Programme and conduct internal audits.
• Oversee and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Investigate aviation occurrences, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Liaise with the Romanian CAA (RO CAA) and UK CAA regarding compliance and regulatory matters.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure appropriate follow-up of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
• Plan, conduct and follow up on regulatory and internal compliance audits.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant aviation experience, with a technical background in aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness.
• Strong knowledge of EASA Part-145, UK CAA Part-145 and Part-CAMO regulations.
• Solid understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and compliance monitoring principles.
• Proven experience in auditing, including audit planning, execution, reporting and follow-up.
• Experience investigating occurrences and conducting root cause analysis.
• English proficiency at C1 level, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work on both scheduled and unscheduled events when required.
• EU passport and right to work within the EU required.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent critical thinking, deductive analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Assertive and effective communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• High attention to detail.
• Very good Microsoft Office skills.

Package & Working Conditions

• €5,000 gross/month on LTD contractor basis
  or
• 15,000 RON net/month on a Romanian employment contract.
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
• On-site work preferred.
• For candidates relocating to Romania , up to €500/month accommodation allowance is available to contribute towards rent.
