Senior Specialist - Aviation Security Regulations

Regulation
 Offer expertise and skilful support to assist in planning, reviewing, development and maintenance of National Civil Aviation Security Policy, Civil Aviation Regulations, National Civil Aviation Security Programmes, and other national security requirements to ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 17 Standards and Recommended Practices.
 Assist in the preparation, issuance, and dissemination of relevant aviation security requirements to stakeholders.
 Assist in the evaluation of operator security programmes for approval/acceptance.
 Offer expertise and skilful support to assist in maintenance of the Aviation Security Affairs library e-services and AVSEC web board.
 Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of aviation security related information in the GCAA portal.
 Provide senior expertise, guidance, and information to colleagues pertaining the Aviation Security Regulation.

Internal Surveillance Programme
 Implement corrective action raised against the Sector under the internal surveillance programme to align with international standards and continuous improvement.
 Provide support and coordinate planning activities within GCAA and the National Civil Aviation Security and Facilitation Committee and Technical Civil Aviation Security and Facilitation Committee.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
 Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

 Coordinate and contribute in the development of internal processes for continuous improvement and management of the Policy Regulation and Planning department.

Aviation Security Planning
 Assist in development and coordination of the annual plan pertaining to activities of Aviation Security Policy, Regulation and Planning Department.
 Plan and coordinate aviation security training requirements within Aviation Security Affairs Sector.
 Assist in the development of the training plan for the Policy Regulation and Planning Department.

Aviation Security Publication
 Maintain the Aviation Security e- Library in coordination with the IT Department.
 Ensure and coordinate the currency of aviation security publications and documentation posted on the GCAA portal for knowledge sharing.
 Assist in communicating updates pertaining to Security Directives through AVSEC web board.

Document Management
 Maintain records of relevant reports, certifications, and general correspondence to ensure proper document management.
 Maintenance of aviation security stakeholder database.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferably a degree from a University/College or professional qualification with 5 years’ relevant work experience
