Ground Transportation Supervisor – Palm Beach International Airport

Chandler & Campbelle Investment Group ("CCD"), in partnership with SP Plus, is seeking a Ground Transportation Supervisor to oversee day-to-day ground transportation operations at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). This role is responsible for managing Taxicabs, Commercial Vehicles, and Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) in key areas such as holding lots, loading zones, terminal roadways, curbs, and sidewalks. The Supervisor ensures smooth vehicle and passenger flow, enforces airport regulations, and maintains the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the movement of Taxicabs, Commercial Vehicles, and TNCs in designated areas, including holding lots, Ground Transportation Areas (GTAs), loading zones, and terminal roadways.
• Ensure the safe and orderly queuing of vehicles and passengers.
• Assist passengers with boarding Taxicabs, providing guidance and support.
• Monitor curbside and sidewalk areas to prevent congestion and ensure pedestrian safety.
• Control access to restricted areas, allowing only authorized vehicles.
• Verify that vehicles display the required annual decals and transponders.
• Conduct random inspections to ensure drivers have proper documentation, such as trip sheets, licenses, and trade dress.
• Enforce curbside parking and dwelling regulations to maintain compliance.
• Respond to and report incidents involving vehicles in designated areas.
• Handle and document lost and unattended items, including baggage, following security protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of Taxicabs to ensure proper condition and appearance.
• Monitor driver behavior for Taxicabs, TNCs, and Commercial Vehicles to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Assist in managing baggage carts and wheelchairs to reduce safety hazards.
• Utilize the AVI (Automatic Vehicle Identification) System for effective ground transportation operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to passengers, drivers, and airport personnel.
• Work collaboratively with County staff and other agencies to maintain smooth operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the County to enhance ground transportation efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or airport operations is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced, dynamic team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-traffic environment.
• Familiarity with AVI systems and transportation technologies.
• A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
