Position Overview
Avcenter, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our team in Pocatello, Idaho. The AMT serves as the primary caretaker of both customer and company aircraft, managing technical assignments from initial acceptance through completion and documentation. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
-Perform aircraft inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with
FAA regulations and company standards
-Complete 50/100-hour, annual, and progressive inspections
-Repair airframes and replace time-controlled components and aircraft accessories
-Ensure compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including logbooks and billing records
-Keep shop, hangar, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and serviceable
-Communicate effectively with customers to understand issues and explain maintenance findings when needed.
-Assist with general shop and facility upkeep, including shared spaces
-Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including occasional overtime or travel to meet operational needs
Performance Expectations
-Adhere to FAA standards (FAR 43.13) and manufacturer guidelines
-Produce high-quality work while meeting productivity expectations
-Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation
-Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and strong time management
-Follow company policies and safety procedures consistently
-Work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
Required:
-FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
-Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
-Strong understanding of aircraft systems and troubleshooting techniques
-Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
-Basic computer and math skills
-Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred:
-Inspection Authorization (IA)
-Experience with Citation Jets and Beechcraft King Air’s

FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
This position is subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) drug and alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 40 and Part 120. As part of our compliance with these regulations, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test prior to starting work.
Work Environment
This position requires working in a hangar and outdoor environment, with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. The role involves physical activity, including the use of tools, equipment, and full range of motion.
