If so, Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an CLS - F-35 Aircraft Mechanic 3/4 – Egress / Seat Shop to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions Business Unit at MCAS Miramar. Your Mission will be to support O-Level maintenance on the F-35.

Basic Qualifications:
Aircraft Mechanic 3: High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of mechanical/aircraft airframe/avionics and/or crew chief experience.
Aircraft Mechanic 4: High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of mechanical/aircraft airframe/avionics and/or crew chief experience.
Ability to obtain Collateral Duty Inspector Qualification within 18 months of position start date.
Ability to acquire and maintain a flightline driver’s competency card.
Ability to read and interpret technical data and blueprint drawings.
A current Secret Clearance (or higher).
Ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance, as required.
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting item weighing up to 25 pounds, and working overhead.
Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.
Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical prior to start.
Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
US Navy or Marine Corps CDI, Air Force 5 or 7 Level, or equivalent Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certification.
Six or more years F-22 or F-35 Egress and/or Crew Chief Experience.
U. S. Navy or U. S. Marine Corps experience with thorough understanding of F-35 Fighter Aircraft Systems and operations under COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 and 4790.35.
F-135 Power plant engine run certification, F-35 avionics systems, fighter aircraft crew escape systems (i.e., canopy and ejection seat), experience in structural repairs and low observable system maintenance are highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and experience in a Military-focused Customer Service-Related Industry.

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
