Volantes Technical Recruitment are recruiting a Principal Battery Qualification & Test Engineer for a confidential advanced eVTOL engineering programme.
This role requires someone with significant hands-on experience planning and delivering battery qualification programmes within safety-critical environments.
Key experience required:
🔸 10+ years' test & qualification engineering experience
🔸 Battery / energy storage systems experience
🔸 Cell, module & pack-level testing
🔸 Abuse & thermal propagation test campaigns
🔸 Environmental qualification testing
🔸 Test procedure, fixture & instrumentation definition
🔸 Test article configuration & conformity control
🔸 Qualification evidence package development
🔸 Experience working with certification or independent assurance bodies
🔸 Management of external test houses / specialist facilities
Aerospace battery qualification experience is highly desirable, alongside knowledge of DO-160 or equivalent environmental qualification standards.
