Shorterm Group is currently working with a Global Aerospace company who are looking for experienced Finance Analysts with proven experience in SAP. Proven Excel skills and knowledge are required for this role (experience and working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are essential).
In this role you will analyse, advise and report on financial performance, support the delivery of business performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting. So you will be solving problems, as you deliver transactional processes, analysis and reporting which includes:
* Purchase Order Management - for contingent labor and other related contracts. * Cost control * Business area cost and variance analysis. * Budgeting and forecasting activities. * Reconciliation processing for the Work Force Plan. * Improving efficiencies of processes.
*In this role you will perform cost, general AP/AR and program accounting functions as well as provide finance support to business units internal /external audits *You will support all financial analysis including ROI, cost-benefit, modeling and business development opportunities. *Perform all payroll and fringe accounting entries and analysis *Coordinate account payables process *Record all transactions related to aircraft contracts as needed. *Perform all daily cash accounting for all entries *Perform fixed asset reporting including acquisitions, disposal and depreciation *Prepare work papers and accruals for month end. *Prepare and post journal entries(payroll & Fringe, inter-company, fixed assets, aircraft transactions, and cash to general ledger. *Develop budgets and analyse variances for labor, overheads, expenses, capital expenditure and headcount;. *Monitor actual versus budget variances on a monthly basis and look at trends. *Perform account analysis *Preparation of monthly financials *General knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Qualifications /experience required:
*Fully Qualified ACA, ACCA, CA *You hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting *You have computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications and accounting systems *You have analytical and judgment skills necessary to evaluate, interpret and reconcile accounting data according to company and departmental procedures *You have knowledge of IFRS *You have knowledge of accounting procedures and concepts for example, general ledger, balance sheets and profit and loss statement *Strong analytical skills - experience in financial due diligence/commercially focused financial analysis *Strong commercial business acumen - ability to get under the skin of the business and understand its key drivers *Strong communication skills - will need to regularly converse with stakeholders across the business *A self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and ability to own and deliver projects *Ability to work as a team and under pressure
