Our client is seeking a highly experienced Nominated Person Continuing Airworthiness (NPCA) to lead the Continuing Airworthiness workstream for a new EASA AOC and ATR 72-600 airline start-up. The role will oversee compliance with Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 and applicable Part-CAMO requirements, outsourced CAMO arrangements and aircraft-induction readiness, while working closely with the relevant aviation authority and other nominated persons throughout certification and entry into service.
Position
The successful candidate will lead the Continuing Airworthiness function during the airline’s AOC certification project. This is a hands-on role involving the development and review of compliant systems, procedures and documentation, supervision of outsourced CAMO activities, preparation for aircraft induction, coordination with other postholders, and direct participation in the authority approval process.
The NPCA will ensure that all outsourced continuing airworthiness activities remain effectively controlled and that the AOC holder retains appropriate management, supervision and regulatory accountability.
The assignment will be primarily remote. However, the successful candidate must be available to travel to the client’s project location within and outside the European Union for scheduled meetings with the client and relevant aviation authority, as well as for interviews, demonstrations, inspections and other critical project activities when required. The successful candidate must also be able to satisfy any residency or local-presence requirements imposed by the competent authority, which may include establishing part-time residence within its jurisdiction
The appointment is subject to acceptance by the relevant aviation authority.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Continuing Airworthiness workstream throughout the AOC project.
- Establish and maintain compliant continuing airworthiness management arrangements in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 and applicable Part-CAMO requirements.
- Manage and supervise the continuing airworthiness management contract and relevant outsourced CAMO activities.
- Define clear responsibilities, interfaces and oversight controls between the AOC holder, contracted CAMO, maintenance providers and Flight Operations.
- Develop, review and maintain the relevant continuing airworthiness procedures, manuals and AOC–CAMO interfaces.
- Support aircraft induction, lease-transition and technical-record readiness activities.
- Oversee maintenance programme, Airworthiness Directive, Service Bulletin, life-limited part, component, defect and technical-record control arrangements.
- Coordinate with Flight Operations, Safety, Compliance, maintenance control and external service providers.
- Represent the Continuing Airworthiness function during authority meetings, interviews, document reviews, demonstrations and inspections.
- Address continuing airworthiness findings and provide evidence for closure.
- Support operational readiness, aircraft entry into service and post-certification stabilisation.
Requirements
- Relevant knowledge, background and experience in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014.
- Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable EU safety regulations and associated requirements and procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of an AOC holder’s Operations Specifications.
- Comprehensive understanding of the need for, and content of, an AOC holder’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and the relevant parts of an AOC holder’s Operations Manual.
- Familiarity with management systems, preferably within aviation.
- Appropriate management experience, preferably in a comparable organisation.
- At least five years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of two years in an appropriate position within the aeronautical industry.
- Previous experience as an NPCA, Nominated Person Continuing Airworthiness, CAMO Manager, Head of Continuing Airworthiness or in an equivalent senior regulatory role.
- Strong knowledge of Part-CAMO and effective oversight of outsourced CAMO and maintenance activities.
- Strong English communication and regulatory-documentation skills.
- Ability to satisfy the competent authority’s nomination, residence and presence requirements.

- Base Project Budget: €52,500
- General on-time bonus: €13,500
- Maximum project value: €66,000
- Travel and expenses: accommodation and transportation provided; per diem of €70 per calendar day
