B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer

Aircraft: A320 Family and additional Airbus/Boeing types depending on location

Contract type: Permanent and contract opportunities available across multiple UK locations.

We are recruiting experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join established line maintenance teams at Heathrow and London Luton Airport.

These are permanent opportunities offering competitive basic salaries, shift allowances, approval payments and an excellent benefits package.

Heathrow

Shift: 5-5-4 | 14:00 – 02:00
Salary: £67,053 basic + £5,000 shift pay + up to £6,000 approval pay

Aircraft types include:

• A320 Family

• A330 – Trent 700

• A350

• B777 – GE90 / Trent 800

• B787 – GEnx / Trent 1000

UK CAA A320 Family is particularly desirable, ideally with PW1100G. B787 GEnx / Trent 1000 would also be advantageous.

Luton

Shift: 5-5-4 | 12-hour mixed day and night shifts
Salary: £67,053 basic + £6,000–£9,000 shift pay + £2,000–£6,000 approval pay

Candidates must hold a UK CAA B1 licence with A320 Family.

PW1100G experience is preferred, although support can be provided to gain this. Strong previous line maintenance experience is important due to the experience level of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with company, customer and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain high standards of airworthiness, safety and workmanship.

• Support and supervise maintenance personnel where required.

• Ensure maintenance documentation, technical records and shift handovers are completed accurately.

• Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft defects efficiently to support customer on-time performance.

• Ensure company procedures, MOE requirements and UK CAA regulations are followed.

• Maintain required licences, qualifications, training and company authorisations.

• Liaise effectively with operational teams, customers and other departments.

• Ensure tooling, equipment and working areas are maintained to the required safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Valid UK CAA Part-66 B1 licence.

• Relevant aircraft type rating applicable to the chosen location.

• Previous line maintenance and aircraft certification experience.

• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and airworthiness requirements.

• Ability to work effectively within a busy operational environment.

• Good communication, organisational and team-working skills.

• Ability to gain and maintain required company and customer authorisations.
