The Opportunity
Morson Edge are recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a leading Aerospace and Defence programme based at RAF Cosford.
This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to work within a regulated aviation maintenance environment, supporting aircraft safety, airworthiness and operational readiness.
The role offers the opportunity to work on complex aviation platforms while developing your skills within a highly professional engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements
Certify completed maintenance in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals
Diagnose aircraft faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded and fully compliant with applicable standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality and operational performance
Work effectively as part of a wider engineering and maintenance team
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and regulatory compliance
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience working within a regulated aviation maintenance environment
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
Experience working across relevant aircraft platforms or transferable type experience
Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and airworthiness
Qualifications
UK CAA qualification or equivalent/similar
Must hold a B1.1, B1.2, B3 or equivalent/similar aircraft maintenance licence
Security Clearance
Candidates must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
