A Gulfstream G650 mechanic (Aircraft Maintenance Technician)
inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs the airframe, engines, and integrated systems of G650 luxury business jets to ensure total flight safety and FAA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduled & Unscheduled Maintenance: Perform line and major airframe inspections, engine servicing, and mechanical component replacements.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions across hydraulic, electrical, landing gear, flight control, and avionics systems using specialized diagnostic tools.
- Compliance & Documentation: Accurately sign off work orders, record actions in programs like Gulfstream CMP, and maintain strict adherence to FAA regulations and OEM specifications.
- Flight Crew Coordination: Communicate directly with pilots and operations teams regarding aircraft status, reported squawks, and turnaround schedules.
- Ground Support Operations: Safely operate specialized equipment such as tugs, hydraulic power carts, and scissor lifts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Valid and active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license (typically without infractions).
- Experience: 4 to 10+ years of corporate or large-cabin aviation maintenance experience, with proven hands-on work specific to Gulfstream heavy jets (G550/G650).
- Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with manufacturer maintenance manuals, troubleshooting schematics, and computerized tracking databases (CMP).
- Physical & Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work at heights with fall protection, lift heavy components, and adapt to variable shifts, weekends, or on-call flight schedules.
