GATE Europe is looking for experienced CATIA V5 structural designers for our NH-90 & V280 projects

Within the Design discipline the Design Engineer is accountable for:•    a correct and complete detailed design;•    Integration of all factors important to success in the detailed design;•    an optimum tie-in of the detailed design with its surroundings;•    the correct execution of the assigned activities within the agreed budget and planning.

Main tasks : • Integrating all requirements into the detailed design.• Weighing the input of specialists in order to achieve an optimum detailed design.• Analyzing proposed amendments to the detailed design, and incorporating these.• Assisting with problems during manufacture with respect to the product definition.• Contributing to savings in costs and reduction of the duration of the work.

Job requirements : •    Higher professional training in engineering, preferably aeronautical engineering.•    Experience using CATIA•    Experience in designing composite structures is a preferred, including CAD tools like CPD and/or FiberSim.•    Sufficient knowledge of design and manufacturing processes in the aircraft industry.•    Creative, problem-solving attitude.•    A suitable attitude towards the detailing of conceptual designs, i.e. as a challenge.•    Ability to work in teams.•    Knowledge of English sufficient to understand technical documents.

Preferred Nationality;    Dutch, Belgian, French, German, Italy, UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand.
