Job Summary

The Aeronautical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness, reliability, and safety of the airline's aircraft fleet. The role involves supporting aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and contributing to continuous improvements in aircraft performance and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the airworthiness of aircraft in accordance with aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Provide engineering support for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Investigate technical defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Review aircraft maintenance records, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and engineering orders.
• Prepare and update maintenance programmes and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, manufacturers, and regulatory authorities on engineering matters.
• Perform technical analysis to improve aircraft reliability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with airline safety standards and aviation authority regulations.
• Support aircraft modifications, repairs, and component replacements.
• Participate in reliability programmes, technical audits, and safety investigations.
• Prepare engineering reports and maintain accurate technical records.
• Stay updated with new aviation technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional engineering registration or aircraft maintenance licence (where applicable) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ICAO, FAA, EASA, or relevant Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
• Proficiency in aircraft maintenance documentation and engineering software.

Experience

• Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, airline engineering, or an MRO environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial aircraft such as Airbus or Boeing fleets is an advantage.
• Experience with aircraft reliability, maintenance planning, or technical services is desirable.

Working Conditions

• May require shift work, weekends, and public holidays.
• Work may be performed in hangars, maintenance facilities, and office environments.
• Occasional travel may be required to support maintenance activities at different operational bases.
• Must comply with all airline safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
