Job Title: Transition Project Manager (12-month assignment initially)

Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

General Responsibility 

The Transition Project Manager role requires working collaboratively with The Management Team to design, execute, and lead multiple teams through organisational change efforts of varying size and complexity. This role exists to transform and optimise the synergies, people process, and overall organisational transition required from an acquisition. This role will utilise change management principles, processes, and tools to focus on driving financial and operational results for our growing business, behavioural changes; designing change strategy, assessing stakeholder impacts and organisational readiness, recommending and/or implementing appropriate communication, training, and behavioural change solutions, and measuring effectiveness to enhance organisation, group, and individual performance.

Essential Job Function

• Manage the HR end-to-end integration project cycle of AAG’s biggest strategic transitional growth initiative to date.
• Lead project teams in support of different project workstreams, and manage overall project activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones
• Lead, guide, and support multiple workstream leads through the design and implementation of targeted change strategies including identification of change impacts to people, process, policy, and structure, stakeholder identification and alignment, appropriate communication and feedback loops, success measures, training, future organisational readiness, and long-term sustainability
• Leads and drive day-to-day change management activities while providing the appropriate levels of support and coaching for AAG Project Leads \ Project Owners project team members
• Develop project delivery strategy as well as overall implementation plan to deliver in agreed priority areas.
• Lead analysis studies in the various workstreams. Analyse data, evaluate results, and develop recommendations and road maps across multiple workstreams
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with key cross functional leaders and project team members
• Educate and coach project team members, sponsors, and functional leaders on change management principles, tools, and their roles in effective change
• Recommend appropriate new or revised change management tools and practices
• Write project case studies. Conduct regular project reviews and create detailed reports for executive staff when required.
• Drive accountability and delivery across the team. Develop appropriate behaviours and process that ensure the benefits of this project are maintained and continued once the project concludes its official phase.
• Work with the HR Team across 3 hangars to help identify productivity saving initiatives while harmonising the process where legally possible.
• Support CPO in sourcing data related to ad hoc queries / issues that arise during BAU.
• Any other project related duties outlined by the CPO.

Candidate Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years project management experience (some gained in an acquisition process)
• Minimum of a degree, preferably in Business, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in management consulting and project management, leading multiple teams / workstreams. Previous Line Management experience of managing line reports is essential.
• Ability to lead, guide and coach project team members in areas such as people, process, policy, and communication.
• Ability to lead analysis studies in multiple areas and lead project definition and recommendations.
• Highly structured approach with great attention to detail
• Ability to be comfortable and credible in assessing impact of change, communication, and training needs
• Ability to effectively design, gain alignment and successfully execute significant change initiatives from project start to finish
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to prioritise, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep information confidential is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Typical Working Conditions

• Must satisfy and maintain the required medical standard.
• Work is performed at the AAG Hangar in Shannon.
• PPE is provided by AAG, and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.
• Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
