Position Overview:

Chandler & Campbelle Investment Group, in partnership with Vanderlande, is seeking a Safety Manager for the Eppley Airfield Terminal Modernization Program (OMA Project). This temporary W2 position will last 22 months and requires SIDA badging, meaning a clear background check is mandatory.

The Safety Manager will report to the Project Site Manager and work closely with the Project Site Supervisor to oversee all safety protocols, compliance, and risk mitigation efforts for the job site. The role requires strong leadership, a proactive safety mindset, and a commitment to fostering a culture of workplace safety

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Leadership & Compliance:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Project Site Safety Program.

• Foster a 'Safe Base' and 'We Care' culture within the OMA Site Team.

• Ensure compliance with Vanderlande HSE North America requirements, including:

• Preparing and submitting periodic reports to HSE NA.

• Collaborating with HSE NA to align trainings and competencies.

• Supporting Site Management with incident reporting per HSE NA policies.

• Ensure compliance with Holder Construction safety standards, including:

• Submitting required safety reports in a timely and complete manner.

• Attending safety meetings as required.

• Promoting Holder safety protocols and standards to all Site Team members.

Safe Work Procedures & Job Hazard Analysis (JHA):

• Develop and enforce safe work procedures and policies on-site.

• Manage the JHA program, ensuring daily oversight and compliance.

• Provide training and guidance on JHA forms and processes.

• Ensure team-wide compliance with JHA requirements.

• Control document flow between the Site Team and Holder Construction.

• Conduct audits as necessary to verify understanding and adherence to policies.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Safety Training:

• Manage the OMA Project Team PPE program, ensuring:

• Compliance with all PPE requirements at all times.

• Inventory management of Vanderlande-provided PPE.

• Training and corrective actions to support PPE compliance.

• Oversee safety inspections of tools and equipment.

• Provide training and corrective measures to support compliance.

Work Environment & Schedule:

• Temporary W2 position for 22 months.

• Work is conducted on-site at Eppley Airfield (OMA).

• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and performing safety inspections.

• Must adhere to airport security protocols and construction site safety regulations

Compensation & Application Requirements:

• Pay Rate: $39 per hour.

• Must pass a TSA background check for SIDA badging.

• Resume submission is required for consideration.

• Relevant certifications and prior experience will be highly valued.
