Operations Supervisor

The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for a team of direct labor employees focused on Safety, Quality, throughput, and culture of a work cell or cells.

• Will have a desire to advance in the business, this may be into lateral roles in an effort to gain a broad business perspective

Key Accountabilities

• Will oversee an Operations environment supporting Extant Aerospace's manufacturing facility.
• Support high mix, low volume electronics assembly and test facility
• Lead team through successful development and execution of monthly plans to meet and exceed schedule, revenue, and cost requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, equipment, and subcontractors
• Responsible for establishing optimum utilization of available resources through efficient manpower management
• Utilize data to identify opportunities for improvement in processes
• Implement open communication and continuous improvement

• Support the development of new methods, processes, and equipment and apply them to the manufacturing operation for productivity gains

Minimum Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree, plus a minimum of 2 years experience managing and leading people; or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Strong analytical skills required e.g., demonstrated ability to take data from varying sources, analyse, interpret, and use it to make business decisions
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
