Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Planning is responsible for scheduling maintenance for the air carrier. Responsible for development of aircraft maintenance -related projects Schedule for calendar and hour items and reports this to the Director of Maintenance. Provides overall leadership of maintenance planning execution, being the responsible party for reporting AOG data to Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Monitors fleet flight time to forecast due dates and all required maintenance related requirements to include Airworthiness Directives [AD], Service Bulletin’s [SB], Part 135 maintenance requirements, aircraft upgrade projects and major inspections.
• Confirms that all AD & SB requirements, as released by the FAA or OEMs, are entered into Ramco by Maintenance Compliance Administrator and tracks material support with Supply Chain team
• Works closely with Maintenance Manager, Airworthiness Support Group to schedule aircraft major inspections or modifications which are suitable to be performed at Regional Materials and Maintenance Centers.
• Works closely with Supply Chain personnel to ensure timely planning and ordering of required, parts, consumables, components etc. required for all aircraft maintenance events.
• Works closely with Area Maintenance Managers and Managing Lead Mechanics to efficiently plan all upcoming maintenance on PHI Health fleet of aircraft at local EMS bases.
• Provide cost estimates on all projects to include logistic support, process, reliability, and efficiencies.
• Creates long-term economic planning to facilitate reduced costs through strategic volume buys on critical items
• Ensures that Ramco Work Units [Maintenance Tasks] have appropriate parts/materials associated with them
• Ensures that scheduling changes [opportunity maintenance or increase in flight hours] are communicated timely to Supply Chain team members.
• Consistently monitor progress of maintenance events and their impact to Out of Service time and continually look for ways to reduce Out of Service times when applicable.
• Supports the review and variance analysis of Planned vs Actual hours for heavy maintenance requirements as per hours logged in Ramco by the maintenance teams.
• Required to be a contributing member to all Quarterly Approved Aircraft Inspection Program review committees.
• Daily Management of Roving Maintenance Team’s tasks, tracking execution in support of weekly heavy maintenance plan.
• Supports annual fleet budgeting process by validating requirements and their consumption of materials.
• Other duties as assigned related to aircraft maintenance planning.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Preferred 2 years previous experience with aircraft maintenance planning
• Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic – Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in managing projects, schedules, and budgets.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
