Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Flightline Operations Senior Manager (Level L) to join our 787 Offsite Operations team in San Antonio, Texas.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flightline Operations Senior Manager to oversee our storage, reactivation and flight line operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft during all aspects of work statement, while leading a dedicated team committed to excellence. You will implement and promote safety protocols as a top priority, fostering a culture of safety and compliance throughout the operations. Additionally, you will leverage Lean principles to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste, ensuring that our operations not only meet but exceed industry standards.

Position Responsibilities:   

• Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.

• Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.

• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.

• Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

• Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 10+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment

• 5+ years of experience working in Manufacturing or Flightline operations

• 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams

• 5+ years of leadership experience

• Willing and able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free principles

• Experience working with contracted service providers/employees

• Airframe and Power Plant license or demonstrated ability to release Boeing aircraft for flight

Summary pay range: $127,500 - $172,500
