Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Products & Services Quality Managers to join the 777X Quality Wing Production – Composite Wing Center (CWC) team in Everett, Washington on 2nd and 3rd Shift.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable and competent quality professional who possesses the ability to work well across business groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries. The candidate will be a problem solver who relies heavily on data and analysis to drive decisions and a leader who can effectively implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment. Transformational leadership skills will be necessary to build team engagement and lead quality team members in conformance and compliance activities, as well as executing lean principles.  The ideal candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.

The first-line product and service quality manager at the Composite Wing Center will be responsible for leading teams of fabrication inspectors who conform products through the process of fabrication into detail parts and sub-assemblies. Their efforts will have a direct impact on the output and improvement of product quality and process compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.

• Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.

• Provide education, coaching and review of Quality Management System.

• Develop and maintain relationships, partnerships and communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.

• Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.

• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

• 1 + years of experience in a leadership or management role

• 1+ years of experience working with and supporting a Quality Management System (QMS)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Must be able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of experience utilizing systematic problem-solving models to identify process problems, perform root cause analysis, define and implement corrective actions, and monitor and control results

• 1+ years of experience with composite fabrication

• Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

Shift:

Candidate may be selected for 2nd, or 3rd shift. Shift will be determined at the time of offer.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $115,600 – S156,400
