Are you a hands-on leader with a strong background in building systems and a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our dedicated team, overseeing the skilled maintenance and repair of vital airport facilities and infrastructure.

What You'll Do: As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of airport systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, airfield gates, and more. You'll manage daily operations, ensure compliance with safety protocols, coordinate with airport departments to minimize disruptions, and provide training and mentorship to staff.

You'll also:

• Assign and oversee maintenance tasks to ensure timely, high-quality work

• Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of accountability and professionalism

• Contribute to budgeting and monitor project costs

• Serve as a key decision-maker in the absence of the Facilities Manager

• Respond to emergencies to maintain operational continuity 24/7/365

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training and/or degree strongly preferred

• 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or construction, including commercial electrical or HVAC systems

• Journeyman electrical license strongly preferred

• Experience supervising maintenance teams

• Solid knowledge of building systems, tools, safety practices, and reading technical manuals

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

• Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to emergency call-ins, including snow removal operations

Bonus Qualifications:

• Airport or FAA Part 139 experience

• Snow/ice removal knowledge and chemical handling

• Familiarity with airport systems and operations

Special Requirements:

• Must meet TSA security requirements for unescorted access to secure areas

• Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record
