As the Maintenance Manager, your main task is to oversee ongoing maintenance and repair activities for aircraft, as well as to establish strategies and protocols for achieving aircraft maintenance goals and timetables. Your team will consist of A&P Mechanics, Apprentices, and Line Service Technicians, whom you'll be supervising. Beyond your managerial role, you may also undertake A&P Mechanic tasks, including routine maintenance and repairs on piston flight training aircraft, following all relevant regulations, manufacturers’ guidelines, and the company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates all aspects of aircraft maintenance and repair to guarantee the proper execution of aircraft service schedules.
  • Works with Parts personnel, Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, and other team members to predict future labor, parts and supply requirements for the proper maintenance and servicing of assigned aircraft.
  • Guarantees all maintenance operations adhere to FAA standards, manufacturers’ directives and corporate guidelines.
  • Ensures all equipment, tools, components and other supplies are full functional and meet both safety and operational norms.
  • Conducts or delegates maintenance tasks to optimize productivity and minimize work hours and errors.
  • Capable of performing skilled manual and technical tasks to provide general maintenance service to aircraft and engines, ensuring airworthiness and uptime.
  • Familiarizes with maintenance manuals, instructions, and safety guidelines to accurately identify and locate aircraft components and execute the procedures detailed in maintenance manuals.
  • Manages and ensures accurate completion of necessary documentation, adhering to company's rules and regulations.
  • Generates reports and letters regarding the facility's maintenance operations, current status, and associated costs.
  • Undertakes other assigned responsibilities as required.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) License.
  • Five (5) years general aviation maintenance experience with specific expertise troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance of power plant systems, lubrication systems, intake and exhaust system, electrical and instruments systems, propellers on piston powered training aircraft.
  • One (1) year prior team leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization.

The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, see, stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.​
