Compensation:
$40-$48/hr. (Based on Experience)
Additional:
$200 Sign-On Bonus with 1st Payment

Key Requirements:

  • Licensing/Certification: A&P License/Certification required with experience on Cessna, Citation, Falcon, Challenger, VIP aircraft, or jets.
  • Tools: Must have personal tools/tool kit.
  • Availability: Able to start within 2-3 weeks.
  • Driving License: Must have a valid USA Driver’s License.
  • Compliance: Must pass a 10-year criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen test.
  • Per Diem Split: Required (with $7.25/hr taxable; the remainder non-taxable).

Job Description:

FlyExclusive, a leading private jet charter company, is seeking certified and experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the safe operation and maintenance of our fleet, working closely with pilots and the maintenance team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular maintenance on aircraft, including scheduled inspections as per FAA requirements.
  • Manage projects efficiently, estimating work time and materials accurately.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches to troubleshoot, repair, and install parts.
  • Ensure proper functioning of mechanical systems before flight.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other related reports.
  • Inspect engines, wings, propellers, tails, and other components for defects.
  • Consult maintenance manuals to ensure proper operations and specifications.
  • Install new parts and perform sheet metal repairs as needed.
  • Conduct tests to ensure engine and system functionality.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues based on visual inspections and reports from pilots or crew.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft systems, parts, and mechanics.
  • Proficiency with tools and testing methods used in aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to read and comprehend manuals and instructions for complex mechanical issues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong mechanical skills.
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills for equipment discussions and report writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software for record-keeping.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May include direct supervision or serving as a coach/mentor to other department members.
Work Environment:
  • Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise inside and outside the hangar.
  • Possible exposure to extreme weather conditions and loud aircraft machinery.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand, lie, kneel in awkward positions, and work on ladders/scaffolding.
  • Frequently lift and pull objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength required.
  • Must have visual acuity for inspections and hearing ability to assess aircraft functionality.
Travel:
  • Up to 5% travel required, primarily local, with some overnight stays possible.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification required.
  • 7-10 years of related corporate experience or 6 years with additional training/certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and FAA regulations.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.

Additional Information:

  • Per Diem Split: $7.25/hr taxable; the rest is non-taxable.
  • Payment Method: Weekly
  • No Benefits or Relocation Provided
