Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Airport Director, the Airport Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Airport to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations pertaining to airports operations. 
This highly responsible working supervisor also oversees the daily activities of Airport Attendants who conduct aircraft fueling, towing, marshalling, aviation fuel quality control, safety inspections and other aviation operation functions. 
This role provides a dynamic environment that requires an Airport Supervisor to be quickly adaptable, have timely communication, and provide professional engagements to coworkers and customers.  

Essential Functions

• Identifies and anticipates operational, safety and security concerns by inspecting all areas of the airport, to include airside, landside, and terminal facilities and arranges for corrective actions.
• Supervises, assigns work, trains, and evaluates Airport Attendants to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and Airport policy and procedures.
• Ensures Airport Attendants operate safely at all times while providing excellent customer service through the timely and accurate completion of service orders.
• Supervises and performs airside operation activities including, but not limited to: identifying, preventing, responding to and/or removing all hazards to aviation including Foreign Object Debris (FOD), wildlife, Airport Operations Area (AOA) incursions, unauthorized vehicles and pedestrian entry, and disabled aircraft.
• Coordinate maintenance of facilities and NAVAIDS.
• Issues NOTAMS as needed. 
• Conducts Airport Security related functions to include monitoring phones, radios, security cameras, gate systems, sterile/secure area doors.
• Supervises and performs wildlife inspections to include mitigation, in compliance with regulations and the Airport’s Wildlife Hazard Management Plan.
• Assumes operational, safety, and security responsibilities in absence of Airport Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Airport Director.
• During emergencies, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-years progressively responsible experience in airport operations management.
• AAAE ACE (Ops), Certified Member (C.M.) desirable but not required.
• Any equivalent combination of related training, education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• General knowledge of airport airside and landside operations, laws, and policies and procedures including FAR’s that apply to general aviation airports.
• Must be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to proficiently using standard office technology, including Microsoft Office 365 and database applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to problem solve independently and to seek assistance. Possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees, volunteers and the general public.
• Ability to work, remain in control, and exercise sound judgement under pressure and in an emergency required.

Physical demand:  Moderate

• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and moving of approximately 50 lbs.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Good hand dexterity for operating equipment.
• Ability to hear, comprehend and respond to patrons, co-workers and supervisors both orally and in writing.
