Contractor employees shall inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods. Interpret nondestructive inspection test results, and provide information about defects to repair center. Establishes radiation areas for radiographic operations. Computation and monitoring of individual personal exposure areas for radiographic operations, and monitors personnel exposure data. Perform nondestructive inspection on structures, components, and systems to detect flaws such as cracks, delamination, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic test equipment. Determines metallurgical information of components according to alloy, temper, conductivity, and associated factors. Operate, maintain, and inspect nondestructive equipment; performs operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools. Perform silver recovery functions. Handle and dispose of hazardous waste and materials. Be NAS410 level II or level III certified in each of the following methods: radiography, eddy current, penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspection methods. Contractor employees shall have completed initial Non Destructive Inspection Training Course and maintains basic qualification.
