Job Title: A&P Aircraft Mechanic D

Schedule: Full Time

 

Complete aircraft maintenance activities to support site aircraft flight operations. May perform scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; turbofan engine, airframe, flight control/landing gear rigging, troubleshooting systems, daily/turnaround inspections, perform corrosion inspections and related treatment, washing/cleaning, servicing aircraft fuel/oil/hydraulic/oxygen/nitrogen systems, Structural repairs and component in-house repair/back shop programs. Works for the Maintenance Lead/Manager and may perform other duties as required by management

 

 

Required Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience

Demonstrated King Air, B200 or 350 experience on civilian and military platforms including Pratt & Whitney PT6 turboprop experience.

Demonstrated aircraft mechanic level experience

Demonstrated experience using common hand & special tools/testers for aircraft maintenance

Demonstrated working knowledge of aircraft safety directives

Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Demonstrated knowledge of flight line operations (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards, etc.)

Demonstrated knowledge of using aircraft technical publications-read, interpret, follow and basic comprehension of schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts

Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance database technology (input and extract data)

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher), which requires U.S. Citizenship

 

Additional Requirements:

Current FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) Certificate

Valid State Driver’s License

Valid US Passport

Capable of completing/passing a required general physical exam.

Ability to work shifts as assigned and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team if required.

Must be able to work in the established CONUS work environment, work shift schedules as assigned 5 days a week with the possibility to work 13 weekends.

 

Preferred Experience

Formal or Specialized Training/Equivalent on assigned aircraft and equipment

 

Work Environment

The diversity of working conditions ranges from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc.  May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
