About the Role
Join a dedicated team maintaining and supporting critical P8 airframes at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu. As a CBA Aircraft Mechanic III, you’ll leverage deep technical expertise to ensure mission readiness and safety on advanced military aircraft. This role offers the opportunity to lead and mentor junior personnel, tackle complex mechanical challenges, and play a pivotal role in supporting national defense operations.

Responsibilities

- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on P8 airframes, power plants, hydraulics, ordnance, egress, and related systems
- Conduct flight line essential services as directed by daily operations
- Diagnose, repair, and modify complex aircraft structures and components, adhering to Navy and manufacturer standards
- Oversee and direct Level I and II personnel, providing technical guidance and ensuring maintenance quality
- Utilize technical documentation, blueprints, and manuals to solve complicated mechanical issues
- Perform team lifting and loading of ordnance items per US Navy protocols
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance actions and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements

Required Skills and Experience

- Minimum 10 years’ O-Level maintenance experience on USN/USMC/USCG aircraft (within the specific T/M/S)
- At least 3 years’ experience with the T/M within the past 7 years
- Experience as CDI or CDQAR on T/M/S aircraft
- Honorable military discharge required
- Completion of Navy Skill Specialty Class “C” school (airframe, ordnance, egress, hydraulic, power plants) or USMC/USCG equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current, valid state driver’s license

Preferred Skills

- Airframes and Power Plant Certified Inspector status
- Specialized technical training coursework
- 10+ years’ O-Level aviation ordnance experience
