As a Ground Operations team colleague, there are two elements that your role will centre around: the customer journey and the flight operation. Both require the utmost efficiency to avoid delays and mistakes.  You will be a pivotal part of our day-to-day operations, so we need quick thinkers and problem-solvers.  You’ll also have safety awareness in everything you do and will be up-to-speed with our safety guidelines.

Happy holidays are in your hands

From hefty pieces of cargo to precious possessions, you’ll have bags of responsibility. You could be assisting in baggage and baggage build, moving containers correctly and safely, and so much more. We’ll need you to be able to lift weights up to 32 kilograms and to go above and beyond to look after our customers’ items.

 

Collaboration and organisation

With the complexity of tasks and to ensure efficiency, it’s essential that you communicate well with other colleagues. This is a multifaceted role, so organisation is key. Whether it’s timekeeping, following processes and procedures to a tee or asking for help when you need it, Ground Operations is a fast-paced environment, and requires teamwork and focus.

 

Plenty of flexibility 

Our flights take-off from and land at London Heathrow Airport 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. So, you’ll need to be willing to work shifts covering a variety of timings. However, you’ll have access to a shift swap scheme that allows for plenty of flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. Bliss!
