Tooling Co-ordinator

Purpose of the Role

To provide oversite and continuity to the tool store and tool stores shift 

personnel, ensuring compliance with the tool control safety standards, 

delivering to and improving upon ATrS Logistics Tool Control Procedures in 

accordance with EASA Part 145 and contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• Identify, improve and review tooling stores layout and tooling availability in line with the maintenance requirements.
• Respond to and manage the requirements for tool in support of all scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance activity.
• Provide guidance to the Tool Store personnel on the daily priorities and targets
• Provide clarification and continuity to the tool issue, storage, repair and lost tool procedures.
• Carry out the tool calibration and procurement processes.
• Define standards for all owned processes and monitor adherence to those standards
• Ensure all owned processes are written and carried out in accordance with the MOE, EASA Part 145, MAA
• regulations and industry best practice.
• Deputise for the Tool Store Manager as required.
• Be responsible for ensuring that all tools are handled and processed in accordance with EASA Part 145
• Work in conjunction with the Tooling Engineer to ensure all tools are available in a serviceable condition for planned
• maintenance checks.
• Be responsible for repair of or procurement of tools damaged or missing.
• Work in conjunction with Mil CAMO or deputies to implement safety improvement activities.
• Review Tool Control BOWTIE threats and develop risk mitigation measures.
• Act as Tool Control system SME.
• Conduct Tool Control spot checks.

Essential job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment

• Capable of conducting Tool Control co-ordination in accordance with EASA Part 145 regulations
• Experience of procedural writing, auditing and process improvement in accordance with EASA Part 145 regulations
• Capable of working with and influencing cross functional teams.
• Understanding of EASA and MAP-01 Tool control processes
• Demonstrable experience in the application of best practice in tool control and management in both civil and military
• settings.
• Demonstrable experience in the management of tooling and equipment servicing requirements.

Desirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment

• Understanding of procurement practices
• Knowledge of tool control best practice in Line, Base and Operational maintenance environments.
• Aircraft maintenance knowledge
