Fleet Liaison Manager

Purpose of the Role

To assist the Operations Delivery Manager in ensuring that the Voyager aircraft is used to its full capability whilst acting as the point of contact for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing the aircraft flying programme to ensure efficient utilisation whilst meeting our customers demands and company targets.
• Act as a point of contact for our customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate all facets within the company (crew, Engineering etc) to meet flying programme requirements.
• Ensuring the Airline Operations System (AIMS) is maintained with our Flying programme.
• Attending all internal and external Planning meetings
• Ensure our primary customer (MoD) has an accurate picture of our aircraft availability.
• Ensuring our aircraft capability (Role) matches customers expectations.
• Providing relevant information to our customers for planning purposes.
• Liaising effectively with all external and MoD agencies for Ops related matters.
• Maintaining an accurate record where flying has been lost and for what reasons.
• Ensuring the error log management tool captures any issues occurring within the Fleet Liaison department and carrying out departmental monitoring on a regular basis.
• Managing the Fleet Liaison Officer, providing mentoring and carrying out annual appraisals.
• Ensuring the contractual requirements are met, highlighting any breaches to Senior Management
• Producing the departmental statistics that are used within the business and by the customer.
• Conducting ‘What If’ scenario planning to meet any potential flying opportunities.
• Ensuring departmental KPI’s and business objectives are met.

Essential job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment

• Sound Knowledge of aircraft tasking and asset utilisation.
• Knowledge of commercial constraints when tasking/programming aircraft.
• Ability to make sound decisions against tight timescales.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to liaise and coordinate with all ranks of RAF personnel/ATrS management and other external agencies.
• Previous experience of military AT/AAR tasking and operations.
• Previous people management experience.
