This program will provide the opportunity to work in two Boeing locations. The initial assignment for selected candidates will be in one of the following locations: Tukwila, WA, St. Louis, MO, or Oklahoma City, OK. The second and final permanent assignment will be located in San Antonio, TX. If selected, candidates will be required to relocate to San Antonio, TX as a condition of employment.
In support of the Program, we are currently seeking Wiring Installation Technical Designers (Level 2) to join the team. As part of the team in the initial assignment location, you will have an opportunity to assist in several functions to become familiar with processes, tools and designs in order to facilitate integration onto the vehicle in San Antonio, TX.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Provides the Presidential Aircraft Recapitalization (PAR, VC-25B) program with wire design activity support
Maintains releases and assists in developing wire installation drawings, systems designs and engineering documentation and data, applying Company, industry and governmental standards
Uses design tools such as Mentor Graphics Capital, CATIA and ENOVIA to prepare documentation and incorporate basic design changes
Creates, develops and maintains elementary wire systems designs
Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities
Supports the development and maintenance of moderately-complex product installation designs and part designs
Solves routine wire installation problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures
Supports coordination with internal partners and external suppliers
Works under close supervision

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
* Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (post-start)
* Experience with CAD tools; Please list tools and familiarity with them in resume
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
* Experience with airplane wiring
* Experience with airplane fabrication
* Active / Current Top Secret and / or SSBI U.S. Security Clearance is a PLUS; Please list on your resume for consideration
Typical Education / Experience:
AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position is ultimately permanently based in San Antonio, TX. However, the initial temporary assignment will be located in either Tukwila, WA, St. Louis, MO, or Oklahoma City, OK. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
