Performs basic welding.
Performs welding of parts and/or assemblies subject to pressure test and/or fluorescence penetrant. Part and/or subassemblies of light gauge material under the guidance of Sr. Welder or Lead Welder.
Under direction of Sr. Welder and/or Lead Welder, employee may operate automatic and semi-automatic weld equipment, including: Jetline, weld lathe, and Sciaky Acu Weld.
Setup, fit-up, position, align clamp, bolt, and tack-weld production parts for the Jetline, Welding Lathe and Sciaky Acu Weld.
Must be able to Tig Weld stainless steel and high temp alloys down to thickness of .032 in1G
Perform tasks as related to fit-up and finishing, incidental to the process.
Keeps work area clean.
Performs all other tasks as may be assigned
High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
