We are searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our extraordinary team. In this role you will work as part of a team developing critical systems to help modernize the US Land-based Strategic Missile force, in Colorado Springs, CO.

The candidate will be responsible for collecting and defining requirements and designing prototype User Interface screens for a safety critical command and control system capable of Nuclear Surety certification. The candidate will be required to define UI design requirements related to Nuclear Surety and derive requirements from DO-178 B/C specifications.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated successful team and relationship building skills across multiple organizational boundaries. You would be someone who identifies as a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills. This includes proven interpersonal skills with both experts and non-experts. You should also thrive in a dynamic, inter-disciplinary, environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Software Engineering, or related degree
• Strong understanding on how to design, implement and certify a safety critical user interfaces for a Command and Control (C2) system that is capable of launching military weapons.
• 5 years of User Interface design experience and at least 10 years of experience working on C2 systems.
• Experience in collecting and deriving software design requirements.
• Experience with safety critical UIs.
• This role requires special access to support the program and requires you to be a US Citizen, have, and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
• OpenGL experience
• Disti GL Studio experience
• Safety Critical Systems experience
• Working knowledge of Safety Critical operating systems
• Nuclear Surety design knowledge
• DO-178 B/C coding experience
• Embedded C development experience
• Git experience
• Familiarity with the Minuteman III ICBM System
• Embedded C development experience
