Unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1)
Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 58 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to join the Regional Express Engineering team in Wagga Wagga.
This position reports to the Heavy Maintenance Supervisor.
•Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance team.
•Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements
•Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment
•Make appropriate recommendations to improve safety, productivity and efficiency
•Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary
•Observe all standards and procedures contained within Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems maintenance.
Essential Selection Criteria
•A demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting in accordance with regulatory requirements, under minimal supervision and to strict deadlines.
•Willingness to accept the work environment of aircraft heavy maintenance, including component repair and refurbishment maintenance.
•A sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentation
•Working knowledge of OH&S procedures
•A valid driver’s licence
•Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
•A high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
•Flexibility with working hours
•Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card.
Preferred Selection Criteria
•SAAB 340 experience highly preferred
•Experience on transport category aircraft
•Experience in Airline operations
