Our Leatherhead, Surrey based client is one of the world's leading companies engaged in the development, delivery and support of leading-edge aerospace and defence systems in the air, on land and at sea. The Antennas division is looking for a Test Technician for R&D to work with their highly skilled team. The Test Technician will be deeply embedded in the development of test plans, testing and recording of test results for prototype and pre-production radar and RF based systems and sub-systems, including software. This role would suit either an experienced Test Technician or a recent engineering apprentice looking to work in a high tech engineering company.
· Development of test plans following standard test procedures - setup of test and measurement equipment, keeping accurate records, and analysis of results.
· Timely delivery of test results and analysis as directed by the relevant engineer/project manager.
· Comfortable working as part of a small team and delivering accurate system performance test results to a high standard.
· HND in an engineering discipline or Technician experience
· Experience in software and electronics testing preferable
