Moog’s Aircraft Group (AG) has been offering Superior Engineering and Advanced Technologies to the Commercial Aircraft Market for over six decades. Bill Moog’s invention enabled the technology for Fly-by-Wire flight controls used in today’s modern aircraft. Today Moog offers integrated flight control solutions, actuation control systems, and product based solutions for much of the commercial aircraft market, both here in the US and Globally.
This position, Test Facilities Lead, is responsible for the test development lab facilities in the Torrance facility. Responsibilities include test floor utilization planning, installation and removal of equipment, energy sources such as electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, liquid nitrogen, etc. Maintains current and forecasted utilization plans including transfer to and from storage of test and support equipment. Responsible for transfer of equipment into and out of Torrance to/from other sites including overseas shipments. Regular interface and coordination with test equipment and testing organizations to provide facilities that support needs ranging from development programs to early stage production and product support. Regular interface with Finance to process asset transfers to/from Torrance plus performance of regular asset cycle counts. Integral involvement for selection of hydraulic pumps, electrical power and wiring, liquid nitrogen tubing, etc. Position responsible for lab area safety including performance of regular safety audits and working with responsible managers to maintain a safe work environment.
In order to satisfactorily meet the requirements of this position, it is expected that the your background would include:
* Associates Degree preferred
* [Hydraulic] Minimum one year of additional hydraulic/pneumatic systems education/training or equivalent
* [Machine] Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in maintenance management/supervision
* Minimum 10 years of [electrical trades; hydraulic fabrication and maintenance; machine maintenance] experience
* Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
