This position entails examining technical package deliverables (2D and 3D CAD models, electrical and mechanical technical drawings, Bills of Material, etc.) against a standardized list of data requirements, documenting compliance or deficiencies, assisting in assessment of if and what corrective action is required, and tracking corrective action. The position also involves uploading and managing documents into the Product Data Management (PDM) system, meeting with and explaining to customers and vendors to explain validation concerns, and working closely with the customer in the customer's environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience performing data management in a I.T. heavy technical data package environment, experience in validating technical data package documents and working with team members on correcting issues, and experience working in an environment with daily interactions with personnel from a multitude of customer and vendor organizations.
Under immediate supervision, supports the planning, design, production and maintenance of electric or electronic components, apparatus and/or circuitry for use in electronic devices. Conducts experimental tests and assists with analyzing electronic equipment to establish production and operation controls.
Supports senior technical personnel and project managers within his/her organization in various technical activities related to system and technical product development. Receives technical guidance and training from the more experienced technical staff.
Applies standard technical concepts, techniques, and procedures to provide assistance to higher-level engineers in the development of technical products. Typically follows guidelines established by precedence.
Performs basic engineering work in analysis, design, development, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system and technical product development. Duties often include the collection of information and data, performance of various tests, and the development of technical documents.
Has limited independent interaction with customers and typically provides input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables under immediate supervision by more senior technical personnel.
Complies with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties. May provide recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic knowledge of engineering principals, methods, and techniques within a specific area of expertise.
Basic knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.
Basic internal team communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bachelor's Degree 0-2
