BaseLine Aviation Services on behalf of our customer, a leading approved MRO facility, currently require a full-time and permanent Technician within their Research & Development Division.

The main role for the successful applicant will be test equipment manufacture, maintenance and repair whilst maintaining and updating of technical records.

An outline of some of the tasks performed within the Research & Development Division are as follows:

·         Building of new Electronic Test Equipment.

·         Maintenance, Calibration & repair of existing Test Equipment.

·         Generating new and updating existing Capability Extensions.

·         Printed Circuit Board Design and manufacture.

·          

Job entry requirements:

·         Previous experience within the Aviation industry is preferred but not essential as we may consider candidates from other industries with similar skills with the purpose to cross-train into the aviation industry.

·         Experience in engineering.

·         Experience in electronics and fault finding techniques.

·         Experience in panel wiring & PCB assembly would be advantageous.

·         Competent in Soldering & De-soldering of Electronic components.

·         Ability to read, understand and construct from electronic schematic diagrams.

·         Be computer literate as there is some use of Microsoft Office and basic CAD programs.

 

Benefits

·         20 days PA Holiday starting entitlement (plus bank holidays).

·         Extra holiday rewards can be earned by good attendance and length of service.

·         Working hours 08:00 to 16:30 Mon-Fri with half hour lunch break.

·         Pension and death in service scheme.
