Technical Services Operations Manager

 

 

Objectives of this Role

•                 Collaborate with senior management in the evolution of the department and development of performance goals and long-term operational plans

•                 Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration

•                 Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased profitability

•                 Work with project managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans

•                 Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary to support profitable growth

•                 Build and Manage the operations team to support world-class delivery of services and solutions

 

Responsibilities

·       Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives

·       Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals

·       Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks

·       Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs

·       Work closely with Business Development teams to support them proposals and bids ensuring that profitable solutions can be delivered and supported

·       Work to build a scalable delivery organization that can support fast growth in dynamic changing industry

·       Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed

·       Work closely with the managers and the human resources team to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain trusting, inclusive, and productive working teams

·       Ensure development plans in place across teams to support having the skills and leadership needs to grow the business

·       Measure, track, analyse and report department metrics, activities and financial performance for internal management and client updating purposes.

 

Skills and Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Technical and Business-related field

·       8+ years senior leadership role ideally within the aviation sector

·       Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, project and people management

·       Strong management and leadership skills having managed and developed large technical teams

·       Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity

·       Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands

·       Strong working knowledge of aviation industry regulations and legislative guidelines

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with budget and business plan development

·       Demonstrated experience of innovation and process improvement

·       Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings

·       Extensive organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success

·       Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software
